Trump replied that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is categorically unacceptable to Russia.
“Russia said that it did not want so -called opponents or enemies, let’s use this term, does not want them on their border, and they were right, they were right,” Trump said, adding that “everyone knew” that the Russian Federation would never agree to Ukraine’s membership in NATO.
