The delegations were headed by heads of foreign policy agencies – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. According to media, Marco Rubio and Sergey Lavrov agreed to create groups to “start” work on the end of the Russian Federation against Ukraine as soon as possible.
After that, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out that representatives of Ukraine were not invited to a meeting of the Russian and American delegation in Saudi Arabia: “It was a surprise for us.”
According to Bloomberg, Saudi Arabia wanted Ukraine to be a meeting in Riyadh, but the US and Russia insisted on a meeting without it.
