We will remind: On Monday, December 29, Putin complained to Trump during a telephone conversation that Ukrainian drones allegedly attacked his Uzhyn residence in the village of Dovgi Borody in the Novgorod region.
Later, during a conversation with reporters, Trump admitted that the attack might not have happened.
“You say there was no attack – that’s possible, but President Putin told me this morning that there was,” Trump said.
What preceded: The US National Security Agency has concluded that Ukraine did not attempt to attack the residence of Russian ruler Vladimir Putin, refuting Moscow’s claims of an alleged assassination attempt.

- Two days after Putin’s statement about the alleged attack of Ukrainian drones on his residence, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a fake map of the movement of Ukrainian drones. The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine named facts that indicate the unreliability of the Russian Federation’s claims.
- Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Serhiy Lavrov, said that Ukraine allegedly struck Putin’s residence on the night of December 29, as a result of which “the negotiating position will be revised.”
