According to the publication, the White House is about to announce a new “major peace agreement” with Russia, which officials say will finally end the three-year war with Ukraine.

A senior White House official said he expects all sides to agree on a framework for ending hostilities by the end of this month – or possibly “as early as this week.”

The day before, the publication Axios disclosed the details of the secret peace plan agreed directly between the White House and Moscow.

Trump’s special representative, Steve Witkoff, reportedly held three days of talks with Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev in Miami late last month, and a 28-point peace plan is now on the table.

On Tuesday evening, representatives of the Trump administration told the publication that they are on the verge of a major breakthrough.

“The new peace plan, apparently, does not take into account the opinions of Ukraine and America’s allies in Europe. And we do not yet know the details of what has been decided on the most difficult issues related to Russia’s seizure of significant territories of Ukraine, the abduction of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children, or security guarantees that will be provided to Ukraine after that,” the publication warns.

However, it is emphasized that “the mood in the White House is optimistic, and it seems that the plan will be presented to Zelensky as a fait accomplis” – that is, as an accomplished fact.

“What we are going to present (to Ukraine) is reasonable,” a senior White House official told the newspaper.

The Trump administration believes that Zelenskyi, who is under pressure both on the battlefield and on the domestic front (in particular due to the corruption scandal), will be forced to accept what is offered to him.

We will remind: On Wednesday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi will hold meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Turkey, where they will talk about a “just peace”.
