“Due to a technical malfunction of Air Force One, US President Donald Trump will be late for the economic forum in Davos, where he plans to discuss security issues and the future of Greenland with European leaders”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
“I believe President Trump will be about three hours late,” Bessent told reporters when asked about the Air Force One delay.
The president and members of his cabinet are planning meetings with European leaders in Davos. The main topic of discussion is expected to be the issue of Greenland, which President Trump says the US should take control of for security reasons.
President Trump has repeatedly complained about the state of the Boeing-747 presidential plane, which has been used by presidents since the 1990s. Boeing received an order for two new presidential jets several years ago, but they are not expected to be delivered until the end of Donald Trump’s presidency.
Last spring, the Trump administration received a new Boeing-747 as a gift from the government of Qatar. But upgrading it for use as a presidential plane could take some time.
