Details: The Hungarian Prime Minister believes that this decision is a recognition of Hungary’s efforts on the way to peace.
“President Trump invited Hungary to join the work of the Peace Council as a founding member. We, of course, accepted this honorable invitation,” Orbán wrote.
We will remind: Trump is going to demand a billion dollars each from the states that want to have a permanent seat in the Peace Council he is creating, the idea of which looks like an alternative to the United Nations.
The Peace Council is described as “an international organization whose mission is to promote stability, restore credible and legitimate governance, and ensure lasting peace in regions where conflict continues or threatens.”
According to sources, Trump has already invited Argentina and Canada, as well as several European states, to join the Peace Council for Gaza (a separate group “under the umbrella” of the general Peace Council).
For the first time, the idea of the Peace Council appeared in the agreement on the cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
