Trump declared that the Russian Federation “agreed” to his peace plan, and Zelensky didn’t even read it

US President Donald Trump said that Russia allegedly agreed to a “peace plan”, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not even read it.

Details: Answering a journalist’s question about what the next step will be in the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, Trump replied that he was “a little disappointed” with Zelensky.

Trump’s direct speech: “We talked with President Putin and with Ukrainian leaders, in particular with President Zelensky. And I have to say that I’m a little disappointed that President Zelensky hasn’t read the proposal yet. That was a few hours ago. His people approved it, but he didn’t.

Russia agrees with this. Russia, I think, would like to get the whole country, if you think about it that way. But Russia, I believe, agrees with this (with the peace plan – ed.). But I am not sure that Zelensky agrees with this. His team supports it, but he hasn’t read it.”

• Information about the new “peace plan” of the USA, which is designed to settle the war between Russia and Ukraine, appeared in a number of American mass media on November 19.
• These publications mentioned what the plan entails the transfer of all of Donbas to Russia. Also, according to him, Ukraine should limit its arsenal of weapons, cut the army in half and agree to Russian as a second state language.
• On November 21, the mass media made it public the text of the 28-point peace planaccording to which Ukraine must permanently renounce its territories, and Russia must receive amnesty.
• On November 23, Great Britain, Germany and France prepared counterproposals to the project of the American “peace plan” of 28 items designed to make them more profitable for Ukraine.
• Also, on November 23, negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and the USA took place in Geneva, after which it became known about the “updated” peace document.
• The British newspaper Financial Times reported that following the negotiations in Geneva, Trump’s team made adjustments to the initial version of the “peace plan”, as a result of which the number of points in it was reduced to 19.
