Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov announced its intention to appeal the decision to deprive his citizenship of Ukraine.

“I am sorry that they did so … Unfortunately, it turned out as it turned out. Therefore, I will defend myself, I will sue. If the court is not able to decide, I will submit to the European Court of Human Rights … This is already a land, you know, arbitrariness that cannot be there, ”he said on the public.

Trukhanov claims that he had never had Russian citizenship, and “these passports are fake, fake”, as are “relevant documents” that he provided to law enforcement agencies.

“In the 22nd year, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky … He instructed the SBU in the 22nd year to check all the relevant services … In the 22nd year, they did not find neither Russian citizenship nor passports,” Trukhanov said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the results of a meeting on a security situation, stated that he had signed a decree on “some persons”, which confirmed the presence of Russian citizenship. Zelensky did not give the names of these persons.
