Tried to blow up the veteran-law enforcement officer in the Dnieper: the SBU detained three agents of the Russian Federation

The SBU detained a nurse from Vinnytsia region and two Kharkiv residents who are suspected of preparing a terrorist attack on the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, the attackers planned to undermine the veteran-law enforcement officer in the Dnieper using a homemade explosive device.

Details: According to the investigation, a 26-year-old unemployed man and his 20-year-old girlfriend from Kharkiv in Telegram-and received a proposal to accomplish a task in the interests of Russia for monetary remuneration.

To do this, they came to the city of Dnipro, where they rented the apartment, and later went to the Dnipropetrovsk region, where they received a homemade explosive device. After returning to the Dnieper, they left the explosive in the rented housing, hiding the keys to transfer to another community-a 52-year-old nurse from Vinnytsia.

The woman took the explosive and laid it near the house of the veteran-law enforcement officer. She had to activate the device remotely with the help of a remote control, but during an attempt to make a blast, it was detained by employees of the SBU counterintelligence. Soon law enforcement officers detained two of its accomplices from Kharkiv.

Under the procedural guidance of the Dniprovsky Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Eastern Regional region, three detained were notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 2 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted terrorist act by prior conspiracy by a group of persons). The court chose them a preventive measure in the form of non -alternative detention.
