Tregubov: near the Toretsky army of the Russian Federation use underground communications to bypass the defense of the Armed Forces

Russian troops try to bypass the defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​the Toretsk Donetsk region, in particular using underground routes. This was reported by a spokesman for the operative-strategic group of Khortytsa troops Viktor Tregubov on the air of the telecast on March 31.

According to him, the day before, attempts by the enemy to enter the rear of the Armed Forces on separate streets of the city were recorded, using underground infrastructure. It is a new tactic used by Russians in this direction, along with flank attacks.

“Yesterday I received information about the enemy’s attempts to use in the Toretsk underground communications, to the event in the rear of our troops on separate streets … Because this is also a priority direction, the Russians are trying to use all opportunities to bypass the Ukrainian troops,” Tregubov said.

He stressed that the fighting into Toretsk had grown into direct street clashes, unlike the Pokrovsk district, where the Russian Federation is fighting around the city.

“If, under Pokrovsk, Russians try to break through the city, then in Toretsk – these are purely city battles. And in these battles, when there is no way to move through the streets, they try to go through underground communications, as during the ATO or as in Sudzh. But, as we know, it does not always end for them, ”Tregubov said.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is mainly recorded there.

According to the General Staff, the Russian army made 17 attacks in the areas of Crimean, Toretsk and Diliyivka in the Toretsky direction of the last day.
