Border guards of the Odesa border detachment, together with law enforcement officers, detained a 41-year-old man from Odessa who, together with his accomplice, organized an illegal trip to Moldova for men of draft age for $6,000.

Literally DPSU: “As part of operational information, the law enforcement officers found out that a 41-year-old man from Odessa plans to deliver men of mobilization age to Moldova through the Transnistrian segment of the border. He estimated the cost of the transfer at 6,000 USD. The calculation was made on the crypto wallet of the driver’s accomplice upon arrival at the place of illegal border crossing”.
Details: As the law enforcement officers established, the man from Odessa transported “clients” to one of the border towns in “comfortable conditions” – in a niche between the trunk and the back seat. Upon arrival at the specified place, the passengers received further instructions regarding the route, the conspiracy and the method of illegal border crossing.
Law enforcement officers together with border guards managed to detain the driver “red handed” – at the moment when he was transporting another passenger.
During the inspection of the car, several mobile phones and other evidence were seized, which confirm the man’s involvement in illegal business.
Suspicion has been announced to the suspect in the case, he is currently in custody. The details of the crime and all participants in the illegal scheme are being established.
