Operatives of the migration police of the Main Department of the National Police of the region blocked another scheme, which aimed to deliver conscripts to Romania via the Tisza River, bypassing official checkpoints.
According to the results of the operational measures, it was established that two residents of Rakhiv Oblast were involved in setting up the scheme.
The impersonators were looking for clients of conscription age and for $6,000 offered them unimpeded transportation to Romania bypassing the official checkpoints, namely through the mountain river Tisza
It is noted that for this money they settled the men in one of the hotels in the border zone, took them to the river bank and gave instructions for further crossing the reservoir.
The arrest took place in the village of Yasinya, Rakhiv district, when the accused met with clients and received a deposit of 8,000 dollars from them. Both suspects – the organizer and an accomplice – were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Mukachevo district police department started a pre-trial investigation under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Detainees face up to 9 years in prison.
