More than half of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsky and neighboring Oleksandrivsky directions in the Donetsk region.
“In the Pokrovsky direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 32 attempts to dislodge our defenders from their occupied positions in the areas of Shakhove, Fedorivka, Nove Shakhove, Myrnograd, Rodynske, Razine, Chervyn Liman, Novopavlivka, Sukhy Yar, Pokrovsk, Grishine, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske. The defense forces are restraining the onslaught of the enemy and have already stopped 28 attacks.
Today, the enemy attacked 11 times in the Oleksandrivsk direction in the areas of Sichneve, Vorone, Stepove, Oleksiivka, Verbove, Pavlivka, Tsegelne, Uspenivka, Krasnohirske settlements. One skirmish continues to this day. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Demuryne, Velikomykhailivka, Orestopol, Oleksiivka,” the message states.
Battles also continued in the South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slavyansk, Kostyantynivsk, Gulyaipilsk and Orichivsk directions.
In the Pokrovsky direction of the front, there are results “in the destruction of the occupier,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on November 2.
On October 26, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the penetration of Russian troops into Pokrovsk.
Pokrovsk – a city with a population of about 1,260 people (estimated by the local authorities at the end of October, before the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation – more than 60,000) – is an important road and railway junction and was under threat of encirclement by Russian troops for most of the year.
