According to this report, Russian attacks intensified not only in Pokrovsky (there were 35 attempts by Russian forces to advance there), but also in other directions in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions – Lymanskyi (22 attacks), Kostiantynivskyi (17), Oleksandrivskyi (14) and Gulyaipilskyi (14).
Battles also continued in the South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Slovyansk, Orihiv and Prydniprovsk directions.
On December 9, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the defense of Pokrovsk continues, Ukrainian troops control part of the city, and Myrnograd is not surrounded.
On December 1, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced on its resources the alleged capture of Pokrovsk. Donbas Realiy (a Radio Liberty project) has collected statements and data refuting the occupation of the city.
