President Donald Trump met with OMB Director Russell Vouta – he reported this meeting on his social network Truth Social, saying that they would determine “which of many promocratic agencies” plan to cut, “and whether these abbreviations will be temporary or unchanged.”
CNN notes that some of these agencies have been sight because of their policies of diversity, equality and inclusivity, but mainly they have become a target because the administration believes that they do not meet the presidential priorities.
“We are considering agencies that do not correspond to the values of the President” and “which, in our opinion, is a waste of taxpayers’ money,” the White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt told reporters.
