The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on compensation for IDPs for destroyed housing

The Verkhovna Rada supported the draft law on compensating IDPs for destroyed immovable property. People’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported this, reports UNN.

We supported in general No. 11028 regarding compensation for internally displaced persons for destroyed immovable property. For – 288

As reported, at the legal level, the following categories of IDPs will have the priority right to receive compensation for destroyed real estate objects:

▪️ have reached retirement age;

▪️ have a dependent child under the age of six;

▪️ raising a child under the age of 14 without one of the spouses.

The list of categories of persons from among IDPs who have a priority right to receive compensation for destroyed real estate is added to the 2nd reading:

▪️have two or more dependent children;

▪️are single mothers (parents) raising a minor child without a father (mother);

▪️ are persons with disabilities of the III group;

▪️ have a dependent child under the age of six, are adoptive parents, guardians or custodians of a child, foster carers, adoptive parents or foster parents;

▪️ have a dependent child who is suffering from serious diseases.

Addition

Currently, there are 4.6 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine, of which only 1.5 million receive payments from the state.
