The USA has changed the recommendations for citizens regarding travel to Ukraine

The US has changed recommendations for citizens on travel to Ukraine. The US State Department has lowered the risk level for nine western regions of Ukraine from the fourth to the third. These are the first changes to travel advisories since the full-scale invasion began.”, — write on: unn.ua

The US State Department has changed its recommendations for visiting Ukraine by American citizens. This was reported on the official website of the department, reports UNN.

Details

According to information, the department has singled out some Ukrainian territories as regions with a lower level of risk, due to the capabilities of air defense and remoteness from active combat zones.

From the fourth (do not travel) to the third level (consider your trip), the State Department lowered the risk for several regions of Ukraine: Volyn, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Zhytomyr.

At the same time, the department strongly recommends to all US citizens:

Closely monitor communications from the US government, local and international media for information on changes in security conditions and warnings about the need to shelter in place. The security situation in Ukraine remains unpredictable

Such changes were made by the department for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
