It is noted that the Government of Ukraine has requested the procurement of goods and services related to system maintenance, including the upgrade of M901 launchers to the M903 configuration; auxiliary equipment, spare parts, support, training; as well as other related elements of logistics and software support. The agency noted that the sale would support “the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by enhancing the security of a partner country that is a driving force for political stability and economic progress in Europe.”
The main contractors will be RTX Corporation and Lockheed Martin. Implementation of the sale will require the deployment of approximately five US government representatives and 15 contractor representatives to European Command for up to one month to support training and periodic meetings.
