“The final version of the bill must be approved by both wards by the end of the year”, – WRITE: www.radiosvoboda.org
The senators spent hours in the meeting room on Thursday evening, considering a long list of amendments before moving to the final adoption.
The House of Representatives approved its version of the package, which contained some controversial policies supported by the Republicans, in September only 17 votes of Democrats. The Senate version contains fewer political hot spots and has supported more than 20 Democrats.
Now that the Senate has approved his bill, the House of Representatives and the Senate will turn to the Conciliation Committee to resolve the differences between the two packages. This final version must be approved by both wards by the end of the year.
