President Joe Biden’s administration plans to announce a new military aid package for Ukraine early next week. Its amount will be $1.25 billion.

The aid will include significant amounts of ammunition, including those intended for NASAMS and HAWK anti-aircraft missile systems.
In addition, Ukraine will receive missiles for portable Stinger air defense systems, as well as artillery shells of caliber 155 mm and 105 mm. An official announcement about the aid package is expected to be made on Monday, December 30.
As noted by the American media, the Biden administration will probably not have time to spend the entire remaining budget of $5.6 billion provided for the transfer of weapons from the Pentagon’s stockpiles. However, the US president this week instructed the Department of Defense to continue to increase the supply of weapons.
