In the US, about 25% of Patriot’s missiles needed for all Pentagon military plans, after recent months have been exhausted in the Middle East in recent months, it has affected the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

Details: The publication writes that Patriot rocket reserves have declined so much that the Pentagon has been worried that it could jeopardize potential US military operations. Therefore, Deputy Defense Minister Stephen Feinberg and sanctioned the suspension of deliveries at the time of inspection, where weapons were sent.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that he was “sending weapons” to Ukraine, although he did not specify whether the Patriot system would be among her. He also declared President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a telephone conversation that was not responsible for stopping the supply of weapons. Like, he instructed to review the US weapons, but did not order to freeze them.

According to the interlocutors of The Guardian, the decision to terminate deliveries, made last month, was largely based on the data of the global tracking system of Pentagon ammunition, which is used to determine the minimum level of ammunition required to fulfill the operational plans of the US Armed Forces.

According to this system, reserves of a number of critical ammunition for several years – since the beginning of military assistance to Ukraine, the administration of former US President Joe Biden – have been lower than this minimum level.

According to the interlocutors, the Trump administration started checking the exhausted rockets for Patriot and other ammunition in about February. The discussion has accelerated after the US launched more interceptors in the Middle East to support the campaign against Hussites and Israel.

The situation was also intensified after Trump’s decision to bomb Iran’s nuclear objects in June, when the United States released about 30 Patriot missiles to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles.

The recent exhaustion of missile reserves for Patriot and other ammunition was the basis of the “Recommendation Note” of Deputy Defense Minister for Politics Elbidge Kolby, which outlined several options for preserving weapons and sent to the Feinberg office.

Therefore, according to the interlocutors, Feinberg made the appropriate decision, and the Minister of Defense Pete Hegset then approved it.

Representatives of the White House and Pentagon confirmed that some deliveries would be restored at the instructions of Trump, but have not specified whether they would be sent to Ukraine among the weapons, which are “critically low”.

The United States supplies weapons to Ukraine with two main channels: by reducing the reserves of the Ministry of Defense and through initiative on Ukraine’s security (USAI), in which the Ministry of Defense pays for contractors the production of weapons for Ukraine.

According to spirals, both weapons have to be freezing from the freezing, since the Pentagon gives priority to replenishing their stocks with the help of the same contractors who produce weapons for Ukraine as part of the USAI program.

Note, earlier, some media reported that Hegset has individually ordered to stop the transfer of some types of weapons to Ukraine despite the results of military analysis, according to which these supplies would not pose a threat to US home readiness.

It should be noted that on July 8, the Pentagon announced that on behalf of President Donald Trump, the United States was sending additional defense weapons to Ukraine.

Also read that the US is on the blockade of weapons.
