“The Ukrainian caucus in the US Congress, which unites about a hundred legislators, considers US leader Donald Trump’s “peace plan” for Ukraine unacceptable on 5 grounds, as it reflects the interests of the Kremlin.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua

Literally from the statement: “The proposed peace plan for Ukraine obviously puts the interests of dictator-aggressor Vladimir Putin above the sovereignty and security of democratic Ukraine. This is unacceptable.”
Details: Caucus congressmen emphasize that this approach does not offer a real path to lasting peace, but actually demands the surrender of Ukraine and justifies a Russian invasion.
At the same time, it is noted that the European “allies rightly rejected this proposal, calling it a basis for encouraging aggression, and not for protecting the freedom of Ukraine and ensuring peace with the help of force.”
The statement outlines five key points that reflect the position of the Ukrainian caucus.
First, its representatives reject “any conditions that require Ukraine to further hand over territory.”
Second, they emphasize the need to maintain and strengthen sanctions against Russia until it fully withdraws its troops and pays reparations.
Thirdly, Ukraine should be a full-fledged equal partner in any negotiations, “and not a passive recipient of conditions dictated by Moscow.”
Fourth, reliable, real security guarantees are needed to help prevent further aggression.
Fifth, Ukraine should closely cooperate with NATO and European allies in order to comply with international norms and prevent new conflicts in Europe.
Savkiv emphasized that this call is especially relevant on the day of commemoration of millions of Ukrainians killed during the Holodomor of 1932-1933. According to him, “appeasing the aggressors does not stop the conflict, but allows it to grow.”
We will remind: Trump said that the “peace plan” proposed by the United States for Ukraine is not a final proposal.
Earlier, Trump expressed the opinion that sooner or later Ukraine “will still have to agree” to some painful concessions to end the war.
Before that, he gave Ukraine time until November 27 to agree to the “peace plan” proposed by the American side.
On Friday, Zelensky addressed the Ukrainian people, in which he said that Ukraine today faced a difficult choice and risked losing either its dignity or its key partner.
