The head of the OVA also reported that only in the past day there were 65 shellings in Chernihiv Oblast, and during the week Ukrainian forces shot down 148 attack drones in the sky over Chernihiv Oblast.
The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that on the night of January 5, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with nine Iskander-M ballistic missiles/S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, as well as 165 strike UAVs, about 100 of which were Shahedi.
“According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 137 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber and other types of drones in the north, center and east of the country,” the message reads. The military specified that ballistic/anti-aircraft guided missiles and 26 strike UAVs were hit at 10 locations, as well as falling debris at nine locations.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
