Volodin’s direct speech: “Deputies of the State Duma insist on the use of more powerful weapons – “weapons of retribution”. And the achievement of the goals of a special military operation (this is how Russia calls the war against Ukraine — ed.).”

Details: The representative of the aggressor country directly stated that because refusal of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi to come to Moscow, “new problems” await the Ukrainians “as early as next week”.
The threats of the Russian authorities are synchronized with weather forecasts: it is at the beginning of February that the peak of cold weather falls in Ukraine. By according to forecasterson February 1-3, the temperature in most regions will drop to -20…-27 degrees, and in some places – to -30°C.
Earlier, the Kremlin claimed that they allegedly agreed to stop the terror of Kyiv until February 1 at the personal request of Donald Trump.
Such statements by the representative of the Russian authorities demonstrate the intention to strike at Ukraine’s life support systems when the lack of heating and electricity can lead to the mass death of the civilian population. In effect, Volodin called for genocide, planning the destruction of infrastructure in conditions where the cold becomes a deadly weapon.
For reference: International law classifies the deliberate creation of conditions designed to physically destroy the population as a sign of genocide.

- January 29, US President Donald Trump said he personally asked Russian leader Vladimir Putin stop strikes on Ukraine during the week due to severe frosts.
- On Thursday in social networks Russian pro-war media began to spread information about the order prohibiting attacking the Ukrainian energy sector, which arrived on January 28.
- Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in turn, confirmed that the Ukrainian negotiating team discussed the issue of ending energy strikes infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.
- On January 30, Zelenskyi emphasized that there were no direct agreements between Kyiv and Moscow regarding the cessation of Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy. He noted: “If Russia does not attack our energy sector, we will not attack their energy sector.”
