The St. Petersburg Star has received 10 years in prison for war propaganda

According to the evidence base of the Security Service of Ukraine, the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, actor Dmitry Pevtsov, who promotes the war of Russia against Ukraine.

Details: It is noted that the convicted person is in the circle of “public figures” close to the Kremlin, who openly support the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.

It is documented how Pevtsov has repeatedly spread anti -Ukrainian narratives during mass events with the participation of Putin Kremlin leader.

The attacker also often spoke on the central TV channels of the Russian Federation, where he called for the seizure of state power and the entire territory of Ukraine.

In addition, in an interview with Russian propagandists, Pevtsov told how he personally “voted for the annexation of” temporarily occupied districts of Ukraine to Russia.

Among other things, he denied the military crimes of the Russians in the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine, in particular in Mariupol.

On the basis of the evidence collected by investigators of the SBU, the court found Pevtsov in absentia under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 3 of Art. 109 (actions aimed at a violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power);

Part 2 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);

Art. 436 (propaganda of war).

The attacker is sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
