“Today, at 12:50, Polish protesters blocked the traffic to PE“ Doctor ”(opposite the Ukrainian Shegin). Restrictions apply only to trucks and can last at least six hours, ”the message reads.
The DPSU added that for cars and buses traffic is stored unchanged.
According to border guards, 681 trucks are registered in the queue for departure, about 100, which are already in a specially equipped parking lot. They will not hurt their design, they say in the DPSU.
The protesters’ action takes place within a kilometer from the Polish checkpoint, specified in the DPSU. The demands of protesters are not reported.
According to the State Tax Service, 18 checkpoints and control points, including nine car checkpoints, were registered on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
In 2024 there was a strike of farmers in Poland, declared by the Solidarity Trade Union. The participants of the action then blocked all points of checkpoint, as well as roads and highways in separate voivodes.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky stated that checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border are critical infrastructure and should not be blocked by protesters.
