The department states that the materials of pre-trial investigation are a secret of the investigation, and investigative bodies are not obliged to disclose any information from pre-trial proceedings outside the limits specified in the law.
“All available evidence to be disclosed was officially published by the SBU on July 21, including authentic audio audio. At the same time, on August 7, the SBU investigators provided the head of NABU with separate information and separate materials confirming the validity of the suspected suspicions of NABU employees. The whole array of the evidence base will be provided exclusively to the court – in accordance with the procedure provided for by the procedural norms, ” – said in a message published by the press service.
The SBU also claims that no pressure on “certain people” occurs and cannot happen.
Earlier today, the director of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, Semen Krivonos, stated that he received from the SBU materials for one of the NABU staff, who was presented with a suspicion of state betrayal, but he has no permission to disclose them.
At a briefing, he also told reporters that he sent an appeal to the SBU to provide materials, evidence confirming the involvement of two bureau staff in Russian influence.
“Yesterday, one of them received a corresponding letter from the Security Service of Ukraine, but I was not granted permission to disclose its content in public. I will definitely seek additional materials, I am waiting for an answer to another employee. I will definitely ask for permission to publish the materials that I am provided with. Because I do not see that they need to be hidden from Ukrainian society, the bureau staff and international partners, ”Krivonos said, adding that I would ask the security service to publish all available materials for both employees in public access.
The NABU Director reminded that two employees of the Bureau, who are suspected of treason, are in custody, with respect to three employees who have been informed of suspicion of committing road accidents, and the investigation is now underway.
The head of the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) Alexander Klimenko said at a briefing that the anti -corruption bodies have information about the pressure on “certain people”.
“We have information that there are no evidence in these cases, there are records of different people who are not related to NABU. They try to tie these people to NABU, actually making them to give false impressions. Most of these people refuse, but we are not sure that over time, someone will not give up and give such impressions. I think they were not provided, because if they were provided, they would have been publicly gone, they were angry, ”he said, refusing to disclose the names of these people. According to him, there are both officials and persons who were previously related to detectives.
On July 22, the Verkhovna Rada supported the Law No. 12414, which, as it was reported, limits the independence of NABU and SAP. These legislative changes have provoked protests in Ukraine, as well as concern from Western partners.

Subsequently, President Zelensky introduced a new bill to the Council “Strengthening the powers of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.” The deputies approved this bill as a whole. Zelensky signed this document.
This was preceded by 70 searches conducted on July 21 by the SBU employees, the State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor General’s Office against Bureau staff.
The SBU reported the detention of NABU employee, who, according to the department, was spying for the Russian special service. He was presented with suspicion. Instead, NABU stated that information from the SBU management regarding the possible risks related to one of the employees of the Bureau was received in August 2023, but later informed the SBU that there was no evidence about this employee of the bureau.
