The SBU reported the detention of six people who planned arson vehicles of military and Ukrzaliznytsia facilities

SBU staff and police detained six more people who, on the task of the Russian special services, set fire to the vehicles of the Defense Forces and Ukrzaliznytsia, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on May 22.

“According to the case file, the orders of the Russian Federation were fulfilled by the FSB recruited locals, the youngest of them – 13 years. They all got into the field of view of the invaders when they were looking for “easy earnings” in telegrams. Initially, the persons involved with the curators potential “goals” and then destroyed them with flammable mixtures, ” – the message reads.

According to these data, two minors from the city of Samar were detained in Dnipropetrovsk, who burned several relay cabinets of signaling installations that regulate the movement of train.

“In the future, they had to identify and set fire to Ukrainian defenders. But the persons did not have time to do it because they were detained “in hot pursuit” after crimes on the railway, ”the SBU points out.

Three people were detained in Odesa region.

“They were two young men from the regional center aged 17 and 18 years, as well as a 27-year-old resident of Chernomorsk, who were differently fulfilled by the Russian Federation. According to the case file, the attackers destroyed three relay cabinets “Ukrzaliznytsia” and the SUV of the Armed Forces, which was maintained after the tasks at the front, ”the SBU informs.

Also in Chernihiv a 24-year-old welder from a local service station was detained, who “tried to burn the car of a Ukrainian warrior”.

“According to the case file, he wanted to set fire to the vehicle directly in the territory of the service station, staging that it was done by” outsiders “who made their way to the territory in the dark. The SBU staff worked on ahead and detained the attacker when he had already prepared a flammable substance for the crime, ”the special service said.

The detainees were reported suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, this is part 2 of Art. 113 (diversion committed in martial law) and Part 1 of Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces and other military formations during martial law).

These persons are in custody, according to the SBU, the question of bringing to justice the 13-year-old person involved is “decided”.

The Security Service of Ukraine regularly reports the detention of Russian agents, exposing and preventing terrorist acts prepared by the agents of special services of the Russian Federation, in particular at military and civilian facilities. In January, SBU reported detention of more than 450 suspects of arson during 2024. The service emphasizes that 22% of those who have been recruited by Russian special services for their tasks in Ukraine are minors.

Earlier, the project of investigations of Radio Liberty “Schemes” found that Russian intelligence services are massively used by minor Ukrainians to arson the cars of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces and the buildings of the Tax Code within the misinformation campaign of the Russian Federation, the purpose of which is to show that there is an active underground in Ukraine.
