It is about the deputies of the Kremlin -controlled “State Council of the Republic of Crimea of the Third Convocation”, which were voluntarily put forward and elected to the Russian Parliament of Crimea in 2024.
The investigation under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office of autonomy found that both those involved in the ranks of the Property Party “One Russia”, conduct active political activity and help Moscow “carry out subversive work against Ukraine”.
On the basis of the evidence collected, the SBU investigators informed the defendants in absentia of the suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborative activity). They are threatened with up to 10 years in prison.
The report of the Ukrainian department is not named the names of the suspects, but the SBU representative, who wished to remain anonymous, said Radio Liberty Crimea project, which was about Yermakov Lyudmila and Borodkin Sergei.
“Since the exposed collaborators are in the uncontrolled territory of Ukraine, complex measures are underway to hold them accountable for crimes against Ukraine,” the statement reads.
According to the prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Igor Ponochovny, criminal proceedings were opened in Ukraine for more than 3,800 military crimes and crimes against major national security committed by Russian citizens in Crimea. Currently, the Ukrainian courts have adopted about 200 sentences in this category of criminal cases, another 580 cases are under the stage of hearing.
