“The Security Service of Ukraine detained a 36-year-old man who, according to the intelligence service, was collecting the coordinates of strategic objects and positions of Ukrainian air defense in order to adjust missile and drone strikes on Kyiv”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
According to the information of the special service, the agent of the Russian FSB turned out to be a 36-year-old employee of a company that installs security and fire alarm systems at strategically important facilities in Ukraine. According to the case materials, during this fall, the person involved collected for the Russians the coordinates of potential targets for strikes on Kyiv – during work trips, he monitored the consequences of Russian attacks on the capital’s energy facilities, which he immediately reported to the FSB in order to adjust repeated strikes.
Hoping to “bypass” Ukrainian air defense, the enemy asked his henchman for data on the approximate location of anti-aircraft missile systems and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces. “SBU employees exposed the agent, documented him and detained him,” the message reads.
During the searches, smartphones, flash drives and 8 Ukrainian SIM cards were seized from the detainee.
Investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the SBU notified the man of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed under martial law); Part 3 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants, committed either repeatedly, or by an organized group, or with the use of mass media); Part 2 of Art. 110 (encroachments on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, committed repeatedly, or by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, or combined with inciting national or religious enmity).
The figure is in custody, he faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Comments from the detainee or his lawyer are currently unavailable.
