For money, they were offered to leave the military unit without hindrance and avoid further service, in particular, participation in hostilities.
To one of the mobilized, who arrived at the training center for training, the instructor offered to help him leave the territory of the training ground. The “cost” of returning home was $3,000. According to the agreement, the man had to hand over 1,000 dollars directly to the landfill, another 2,000 dollars – to his mother after taking her son out of the training center.
DBR employees detained the instructor while receiving the first part of the funds — $1,000.
According to preliminary data, the suspect did not act independently. The investigation established that from the end of 2025, mobilized men were systematically taken out of the training ground for money. The cost of such a “service” was usually 3,000 US dollars, but it could increase depending on the financial capabilities of the so-called clients.
For the illegal export of military personnel, forged passes and other means of conspiracy were used, in particular, documents that imitated the orders of high-ranking military officials.
The investigation is ongoing. SBI employees are checking other employees of the training center, as well as civilians who may have been involved in the organization of this scheme.
The detainee was informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 3 of Art. 27, Part 4 of Art. 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — the organization of desertion under martial law, committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy. The man was remanded in custody without the possibility of making bail, the SBI says.
