Details: It is reported that among the rescued is 17-year-old Maksym, who, despite congenital hearing defects, continued to secretly study online at a Ukrainian school during the occupation. His family was regularly searched because of their pro-Ukrainian position.

It was also possible to take out 23-year-old Artem and 19-year-old Danylo, whose family the occupiers systematically persecuted. According to Kuleba, FSB representatives tried to recruit the boys, and their mother was threatened with deportation. The reason for the pressure was that Artem served in the territorial defense before the occupation of the city.
Among those rescued is 18-year-old Bohdan, who was removed from school by the occupation authorities and forcibly sent to a “commission” in a mental hospital, after which they tried to put him on the military register in the Russian army. After receiving the summons, the boy decided to run away.
Another teenager – 17-year-old Dmytro – was taken away by the occupiers together with his family under the guise of “evacuation”. In fact, the children were sent first to a tent camp in Belgorod, and later to a hostel in the Oryol region, where they issued fake documents for the boy.
Currently, all rescued children are in “Hope and Recovery” centers, where they receive psychological help, support with paperwork and housing.
According to Kuleba, the operation was made possible thanks to the support of Volodymyr Klitschko, Tetiana Kiel and the We Are All Ukrainians initiative, the Humanity charity fund, and the United Center for the Coordination of Search and Release.
According to Save Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the organization has already managed to return more than a thousand Ukrainian children from the occupation, but thousands still remain in the temporarily occupied territories.
