Details: According to the president, Russia launched a missile attack on Ukraine more than 470 attack UAVs and 48 missiles of various types.
“In Ternopil, nine-story residential buildings were hit, there were fires. Unfortunately, there is significant destruction of buildings, and there may be people under the rubble. All necessary services are working on the ground, trying to save every life,” Zelenskyi said.
He added that in Ukraine energy, transport, and civil infrastructure were damaged.
In particular, the invaders attacked the power plant in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, as a result of which three people, including two children, were injured. The Russians also attacked critical infrastructure and energy in the Lviv region.
The President recalled that in the evening the occupiers attacked Kharkiv, as a result of which dozens of people, including children, were injured.
“A person was injured in Donetsk Oblast. Kyiv Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, and Dnipro Oblast were also under attack. Every brazen attack against ordinary life shows that the pressure on Russia is insufficient,” Zelenskyi said.
He believes that “effective sanctions and aid to Ukraine” can change everything.
“The primary need is air defense missiles, additional systems, increasing the capabilities of our combat aviation and the production of drones to protect life. Russia must be held accountable for what it has done, and we must focus on everything that strengthens us and allows us to shoot down Russian missiles, neutralize Russian drones, and stop assaults,” Zelenskyy concluded.
