Details: Over the past few days, the Russians have been pulling their assault groups south and southwest of Velika Novosilka. It is expected that they will try to “break into” the settlement from the south and southwest, that is, from the side of the already captured villages of Storozheve and Blagodatne. To carry out such a maneuver, the occupiers will have to overcome Neskuchne and Vremivka, which are currently under the control of the Ukrainian army.
A fairly strong pressure on Velika Novosilka is also coming from the east – from the already captured villages of Shakhtarske and Zolota Niva.
In general, the conditions for defense are extremely difficult, because since the fall of 2024, Velyka Novosilka has been semi-encircled. The distance between the extreme points of the Ukrainian positions in the north and southwest, that is, the width of the “throat” through which the delivery of people, BC and provisions to Velika Novosilka passes, is about seven kilometers. Logistics are complicated, it is no longer possible to drive into the settlement by vehicle.
