The Russian flag was indeed raised over Kyiv – the National Police

On Saturday, December 20, a video of a drone flying the Russian flag over Kyiv went viral. Later, after clarification, the police reported that the footage was still real and not a fake, as noted earlier.

“After additional verification, it was established that the unidentified drone was indeed flown in the capital. The details of the event are being established,” National Police spokeswoman Yulia Girdvilis said in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that the police had checked a video showing a drone allegedly flying over Kyiv with a Russian flag, the press service of the Ukrainian capital’s police reported on December 20.

“Kyiv police checked the information that was spread in social networks today: it did not find its confirmation,” – it is indicated in the message on the telegram channel of law enforcement officers.

The police urged media representatives and administrators of Telegram channels to check the authenticity of information before publishing it to the general public.

Earlier, several Ukrainian Telegram channels published a video with a drone and the flag of the Russian Federation with corresponding captions.
