On May 27, the US Special Messenger in Ukraine, General Kellogglog, said in an interview with Fox News that the United States received a list of conditions and terms of a potential peace treaty from Ukraine and now expected when Russia will represent its version to start reconciling the position of the two countries.
On the same day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that Moscow continues to work on its version of the memorandum, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the success of peace talks would depend on the willingness of participants to eliminate the “root causes of war”, repeating the ancient Russian demands that are equivalent to Ukraine.
On May 23, Lavrov stated that Moscow was ready to transfer to Kiev the project of the document with the conditions of reaching the agreement on the settlement of the war immediately after the completion of the exchange of prisoners of war. The last stage of the exchange ended on May 25.
