The Russian Federation also announced that the Baiterek program is in its final stages.
The Russian Soyuz-5 rocket was supposed to launch by the end of the year from the Baiterek complex at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
The program is positioned as a competitor to SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk.
Because of the sanctions, the development of the new missile has been behind schedule for years.
Russia said that the launch date of “Soyuz-5” will be determined after the completion of all tests and coordination with all participants of the program.
The Kazakh authorities expect this to happen in the first quarter of next year.
