Bodnar was charged with articles on the preparation for a terrorist attack and illegal trafficking of explosives. According to the investigation, Bodnar and other “opponents of his” (Oksana Shevchenko and Vladimir Ananiev) planned to attempt Aksenov.
The Russian court claims that in 2023 they hid an explosive device in the car, after which in May they got into the territory of Crimea “for hiding equipment” in garage boxing. In January 2024, Bodnar, according to the investigation, went from Simferopol to another occupied Ukrainian city of Genichesk, Kherson region, to pick up three packages with seven mobile phones, as well as a detonator.
Shevchenko and Ananiev allegedly studied the places where Aksyonov lived and could stay.
All three were detained in February 2024. Oksana Shevchenko was previously sentenced to 10 years in the colony of the general regime and a fine of 500 thousand rubles.
