The Russian court found 41-year-old Trachuk guilty of international terrorism, an attempt on a terrorist attack, participation in a terrorist community and several other articles.
According to the prosecution, no later than March 2022, the resident of Energodar “decided to become an active participant in the community” of Ukrainian intelligence. About then, he allegedly got the task of killing Andrei Shevchik with the help of an explosive device. As a result of the attempt in May of that year, Shevchyk and his two guards were injured in moderate severity, reports Media Azon, citing the court press service.
The Russian occupation authorities also throws Trachuk preparation for attempted deputy director of the Personnel of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant in April 2023. At the same time, Trachuk was abducted by employees of the Russian FSB.
The case came to the Russian court in June 2024. Prior to the initiation of criminal prosecution, Vadim Trachuk worked as a driver of a transport shop.
