“Mediazon” indicates that it is a 37-year-old man named Dmitry Adamenok.
According to Ria Novosti Crimea, citing the department, he allegedly intended to go to the mainland of Ukraine in order to join the RDC.
“For this purpose, through social networks, he made contact with representatives of this terrorist structure, expressed his desire to participate in hostilities against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and received detailed instructions on accession to its ranks,” – quotes the UFSB message on the Crimea
As a result, he was accused of Articles 205.5 (preparation for participation in the activity of a terrorist organization) and under Article 275 (preparation for state betrayal) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Adamenko’s public comments are absent. The Ukrainian side and RDC representatives did not comment on these reports.
According to the human rights organization Crimean, at least 56 Crimeans were persecuted by the Russian authorities in 2024. The reasons for criminal cases were accusations of alleged relations with the prohibited organizations in the Russian Federation, state treason, espionage, public statements, organizing sabotage or calls for violence.
Human rights activists predict that the number of cases on state treason, cooperation and espionage, violated by Russian security officers will continue to grow. Now the FSB violates such cases almost daily, until 2014, when the Crimea was occupied, there were no more than 10 a year. After a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, the article on state treason has actually turned into the Russian Federation into one of the most popular for those who oppose the war.
