In Zaporizhzhia, rescuers discovered and unblocked the body of a 27-year-old man who died as a result of a missile attack by Russian troops on January 18, search and rescue operations at the site of the impact have been completed, the State Emergency Service reports

“As a result of the incident that took place on January 18, two people died, 12 more people were injured,” the service informed.

It is noted that “for nine days, 178 emergency workers and 40 pieces of equipment were involved in search and rescue operations. In particular, the canine calculation of the Interregional Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service worked.”

Earlier, on the morning of January 18, Russian troops hit Zaporizhzhia with two rockets, destroying the administrative building of an industrial facility. Houses and the cathedral were also damaged. Earlier it was known about one dead person. A 27-year-old man was considered missing.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
