On October 4, a sudden blizzard began in the mountains – snow did not stop falling throughout the day. Because of this, hundreds of people were stuck in dangerous conditions. In particular, the weather was disrupted by climbers who were going to climb to the top of the 8188 meters high, located on the border between China and Nepal.
Heavy snowfall also affected the plans of hundreds of tourists in the mountains of Western China, where at least one person died due to hypothermia for acute mountain disease.
Currently, the Everest region, including Karma and Rongshar Valley, as well as the top of Cho-Oyi, remains temporarily closed for visitors.
