Details: According to the general, both Kyiv and Washington share the opinion that the best security guarantee for Ukraine remains an equipped and combat-ready army.
Hnatov noted that how the command plans to encourage servicemen to remain in service after the end of hostilities also depends on the final vision of the format of the Ukrainian army.
The Chief of the General Staff emphasized that this is a complex task that requires the involvement of all state institutions.
“It is necessary to understand what the Ukrainian army will be like, its numbers, financial support, social guarantees for military personnel and many other issues. This work is not only within the competence of the General Staff,” the general said.
Hnatov added that the General Staff already has a working vision of this process and the document is currently being developed.
