The protesters met the new law on NABU and SAP, but reminded other issues

Participants of the action under the Verkhovna Rada, who called on the people’s deputies to pass the law on the restoration of independence of anti -corruption bodies, applause welcomed the decisions of parliamentarians, but also reminded other topical issues.

Details: After making a decision by which the participants of the action monitored in a direct ether, people chanted: “power is the people” and sang the anthem of Ukraine.

The protesters said that there are several more requirements (probably in mind that the head of the Bureau of Economic Security has not yet been appointed), but so far – celebrating today’s decision on NABU and SAP, notes the correspondent of the publication from the scene.

One of the people’s deputies from the “servant of the people”, Alexander Marikovsky came to the protesters, but he was not given a microphone.

After making the expected decision, the participants of the action began to diverge, leaving behind an array of cardboard calls for deputies.

That preceded: On July 31, the Verkhovna Rada approved a law that returns the selected powers to the anti -corruption bodies – NABU and SAP. Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk signed it directly during the meeting.

Prehistory:

• On July 22, the Verkhovna Rada approved Law No. 12414 as amended to the Criminal Procedure Code, according to which NABU and SAPs become dependent on the decisions of the Prosecutor General. In the evening of the same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the document.
• In many cities of Ukraine, there were a few days in a row after the adoption of this legislative initiative.
• Responding to the social resistance and concern to partners, Zelensky has introduced a bill in the Verkhovna Rada, which will provide “force of law enforcement system” and preserve “all rules for the independence of anti -corruption institutions”.
• On the morning of July 31, citizens gathered for a peaceful rally near the Verkhovna Rada in support of the adoption of the law on the return of independence of NABU and SAP.
