The specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office will request a preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 50 million for Yulia Tymoshenko, the head of the “Fatherland” parliamentary faction, who is suspected of offering bribes to a number of people’s deputies.

  • Tymoshenko herself called the searches a “grandiose PR move”, said that they were “wiping out competitors before the elections”. The politician claims that anti-corruption officers “did not find anything”, so they simply took away her “work phones, parliamentary documents and personal savings, information about which is fully reflected in the official declaration”. The politician also claims that it is not her on the recordings made public by anti-corruption agents.
