Details: Støre, who is currently attending the Group of 20 summit in South Africa, said that the European countries participating in the summit will come up with a European proposal for Trump’s “peace plan” for Ukraine.

“First of all, for the country to hand over the territories it controls practically at the negotiating table, it is against the constitution of Ukraine,” said the Norwegian prime minister.
He added that the “peace plan” could nevertheless become a starting point for a truce and further negotiations, which Ukraine had previously treated positively.
“This opportunity must be used, but for this the Europeans must unite and create a counterbalance in those areas where this proposal is unlikely to be accepted,” Støre said.
Earlier, the preparation of an alternative proposal of the “peace plan” by the European states was reported in the mass media.
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced a meeting of European states on the situation in Ukraine on the sidelines of the G20 summit.
