The Prime Minister of Lithuania Inga Ruginene considers the statements of the Russian oppositionist Leonid Volkov about the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps Denys Kapustin and Ukrainian officials to be unacceptable, and hopes that he will be expelled from Lithuania.

Details: According to Ruginene, such statements are unacceptable, and “such a person should not stay in Lithuania”.

“DDB (Department of State Security) is conducting an investigation, and after that investigation the Migration Department will give its assessments. I really hope that the investigation will be detailed, and we will be able to avoid such statements in the future, as well as people who allow themselves such statements,” Ruginene assured.

Volkov, as a former associate of one of the leaders of the Russian opposition, Alexei Navalny, has a temporary residence permit in Lithuania.

Lithuanian laws provide that a temporary residence permit can be canceled if a foreigner’s residence in Lithuania poses a threat to national security, public order or people’s health.

The conversation with Volkov, who lives in Lithuania, was made public on Monday. On the screenshot that spread on the Internet, you can see how the opposition party rejoices over the alleged murder of Denys Kapustin, the commander of the RDK.

“The natsik died, whose very existence was a gift for Kremlin propaganda. Who with his clown “corps” solved the murky tasks of the despicable village political technologist Budanov,” Volkov wrote.

“I hope that his friends will follow Kapustin. Yermak will sit down, Budanov will sit down and all other propagandist hypocritical villainy. And then Ukraine will have a chance to win. And while it is betting on the Kapustins, nothing will happen to it,” he claimed.

The Migration Department of Lithuania turned to the DDB for additional advice on a possible threat to national security and with a request give an assessment of Volkov’s statement, that appeared in public space.

The leader of the Lithuanian populist party “Zorya Niemanu” Remigius Zemaitaitis believes that Volkov should cancel the residence permit in Lithuania.
