Details: Pavel warned that the victory of the Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin in Ukraine will be the defeat of the entire West.

“If we allow Russia to emerge victorious from this conflict, we will all lose,” he emphasized.
In the context of the similarity of the current situation with 1938, when European countries allowed Adolf Hitler to annex Czechoslovakia in order to avoid larger-scale aggression, Pavel noted that this time the West is guilty not so much of betraying the Ukrainians, but of the fact that it once again lacked the collective courage to defend its own values.
“I would not call what we are doing now a betrayal of Ukraine. I would call it an unwillingness – an unwillingness to defend the principles that we all claim to defend,” the Czech president said.
At the same time, he added that everything must be done to prevent Ukraine from losing this war.
“We simply cannot allow Ukraine to lose this conflict. The threat of violence, violations of airspace, arson and other hybrid attacks (against European countries) will only intensify,” Pavel noted.
At the same time, he acknowledged that Europe will eventually need a new security agreement with Moscow, but only on the right terms.
“If we are going to think about any future relations with Russia, then they can begin only after the conclusion of a peace agreement and in the process that will lead to a new agreement on security in Europe,” Pavel said.
Meanwhile, the US President’s special envoy, Keith Kellogg, said earlier that an agreement to end the war in Ukraine is “very close.”
What happened before:
On Saturday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a telephone conversation with representatives of the Ukrainian and US negotiating teams working to end the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Before that, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umyerov, and the Special Envoy of the US President, Steven Witkoff, reported on the progress of negotiations regarding the “peace plan” of the Ukrainian and American sides.
