The Pechersk District Court of the city of Kyiv decided to arrest Gennady Bogolyubov, who, according to the sources of “Ukrainian Pravda”, left Ukraine in June 2024 using forged documents.

Literally: “Order the suspect Gennadiy Borysovich Bogolyubov, born on January 20, 1962… a preventive measure in the form of detention“.
“After the detention of Bogolyubov Gennadiy Borysovych, born on January 20, 1962, no later than 48 hours from the time of delivery to the place of criminal proceedings, ensure her delivery to the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv to resolve the issue of applying the selected preventive measure in the form of detention prison or its change to a milder preventive measure”.

Prehistory:
- On July 7, “Ukrainian Pravda” learned that Gennadiy Bogolyubov illegally left Ukraine using forged documents on the night of June 24 by train from Kyiv to Khelm. The reason for the escape of UP sources was that the Bureau of Economic Security is preparing a suspicion against him in the case of “Privatbank”.
- On July 8, UP became aware that the SBI is investigating Bogolyubov’s illegal departure from Ukraine.
- The businessman himself claims that he crossed the border of Ukraine to leave on legal grounds. According to Bogolyubov’s press service, the businessman has all the legal grounds for crossing the border: he is 62 years old, has 7 children, 5 of whom are minors.
- The law enforcement officers informed in absentia about the suspicion to the former co-owner of “Privatbank” Gennadiy Bogolyubov and the border guard who assisted him in illegally crossing the border on June 24. According to the DBR, Bogolyubov left the country using another person’s passport. This is Mykola Kupriyanovych Syumak, 67, a resident of the Volyn region.
- On July 10, the former co-owner of “Privatbank” Gennadiy Bogolyubov said in an interview with “Ukrainian Pravda” that he does not know whether he will return to Ukraine.
