The peacekeeping contingent can only be a segment of security guarantees – Zelenskyi

The head of the Ukrainian state said this during a joint meeting with the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer with representatives of the media in Kyiv, the correspondent of Ukrinform reports.

“The peacekeeping contingent can only be a segment of real guarantees for Ukraine. We are not considering security guarantees for Ukraine without the United States of America, so it is too early to talk about the details. We have not yet had a substantive conversation about security guarantees with the new administration of the United States. It’s all ahead. Only after these negotiations will we understand the desired security structure for Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

At the same time, he confirmed that the French initiative to deploy a contingent in Ukraine is being discussed.
